Glitter sandwich

I been wanting to do a glitter sandwich for some weeks now and I finally got around to it. I wanted a real summery glitter sandwich So when I think of summer I think of yellow. It was perfect because  had just bought L'oreal Yellow seahorse which is a jelly polish it was perfect for what i had in mind. Yellow seahorse is  bright yellow with gold shimmer, The polish is a bit thick and streaky but manageable. I did 3 coats of the polish first toI show you the color.

Then I removed it and did a coat of Color Club I always get my Man-darin (sorry I forgot to take picture of it) then did one coat of Milani Gems (pink version) and topped it with a coat of Yellow seahorse.

What color do you wear during the summer? I use my neons, yellows, pinks and of course holos!

Milani Holo With Some Stampage

I have completed an entire set of polish for the very first time!!! I now have all of the Milani 3D polishes! In honor of completing the set I decided to do a mani using one of the polishes. Are you shocked to find out that it is green? No me neither... I have a thing for green polishes! These are not the greatest holo polishes but they are still holo and I still love them! I also got to try out my first konad stamping polish that I won in a giveaway!

You probably can't tell but the polish I am holding is not the same polish my nails are painted with... Didn't even realize it was gold and not green until after the pictures. Then I realized that I left the green one at my parents house... oh well close enough.

I probably should have taken pictures of Hi-Tech before putting the pink over top... I think I soaked up a little too much sun this week lol.

For this mani I used  2 coats of Milani Hi-Tech and then using Konad Special Princess polish in pink (no name on the bottle) I stamped on the design from plate BM-205. I covered the whole thing with SV :)
I am not crazy about how this turned out... I don't think there was enough contrast between colors for this design to work well. Maybe it also had to do with both polishes being shimmery. I also am not crazy about the Konad stamping polish because it did not cover as well as I would have liked and it left a lot of polish on the stamper every time. Maybe I will try the Konad polish over some other colors and post a review.

My first Holo!!!

I am in love with Holo nail polishes!! Sadly I only have one holo and it doesn't compare to some of the holos out there :( This nail polish is still gorgeous!! It has not been sunny here, it has just been raining so no sunlight pictures unfortunately. I did however get new full spectrum light bulbs to use with my light box and I really like them. My pictures are not as yellow as they were before.  This is 2 coats of Milani HD in Hi-Res:

You can see the holo rainbows a little more in these next 2. In the first one you can see it in the bottle a little.

After the 2 coats of Hi-Res I applied a coat of SV and then stamped on the tips using MASH plate m56 and the ring finger using MASH plate m61. I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Whirlwind White for the stampin. Then I applied my final coat of SV.

Do you have any suggestions of other holos that I could get my hands on for cheap??

NOTD: Zoya Sooki+Milani Red sparkle

I am not a big fan of reds but theses 2 pretties are just too beautiful not to wear and I decided to wear them together because nothing is complete without a little bit of glitter. Zoya Sooki was super smooth in 2 coats and Milani Red sparkle was super gritty and needed 2 coats on top coat.

Pictures were taken indoors it would have
really sparkled if there was some sun!

I really like this combination just wish we had some sun to see the beautiful sparkle. Sooki just became my favorite red. What are your favorite reds?

Milani Purple Gleam and Blue Flash

I absolutely love glitters and Milani One coats glitters are my dream come true. I don't mind doing 1-4 coats with glitters but I am very impatient sometimes and as most know if your coat is not dry before you start a new coat its going to drag which sucks! So a one coat glitters is the best my perfect polish. Purple gleam and Blue flash are beautiful they have some black glitter in it that make them very unique then any of my other blue and purple glitters. These polishes dry gritty but a top coat fixes that problem.

Used one of my girls at work as my hand model

With Top Coat

 My new favorite polishes!!!

I LOVE MY BOYFRIEND!! Milani one coat glitters and Jewel FX

Ok so I have been searching high and low for Milani's one coat glitters, I went to all the CVS near me and made a bunch of phone calls to further away ones and after a week and a half I still had no luck. I was telling my wonderful boyfriend how I couldn't find them and that I was gonna have to do some swaps for them on Makeup Alley. So last night my boyfriend was at the drugstore getting his favorite cookies and I asked him to see if they had the nail polishes there and they weren't there. I then asked if he could stop at another CVS on the way over my house. He did and then told me he found them! I didn't believe him because he likes to play with my emotions when it come to nail polish. So I asked him to send me a picture of the display.

He asked me which ones I wanted and I asked for Blue Flash and Purple Gleam. I passed on the warm gold and the silver dazzle. So I was beyond happy but my happiness turned into complete bliss the next morning. My wonderful amazing boyfriend had gone to another CVS and bought me the rest of the collection (red sparkle, gold and gem) I had tears in my eyes when I saw them lol..

Red Sparkle, Purple gleam, Blue Flash, Jewel Fx Gold and Gem

Jewel FX Gold and Gem takes about 4 coats to cover

This is 2 coats without a top coat.
Aren't they beautiful!

These are soo amazing! For a glitter to cover completely on one to two coats is my dream come true. I love glitters but I hate having to do coat after coat and 5 coats later your done. They dry pretty fast and dry a little gritty but a nice top coat fixes that and makes it pretty and shiny.

Haul!

Hi all,

This week I hauled a good amount of polishes but the majority of them have not arrived yet should be coming in hopefully tomorrow, I cant wait! The ones I am showing you today I picked up at my local Rite Aid, CVS and the others I stumble upon while shopping in Forever 21 (I didn't even know they sold nail polish I guess everyone is giving a shot at it).

1st up is part of the limited edition Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure nail polishes, Starry, Starry Flight. That has to be the longest name ever! I first saw this polishes swatched on The Nailphile I absolutely loved it! I already had a fav. silver glitter which was Sally Hansen Extreme wear Celeb city but this one blew that one out the water. It was opaque in 3 thin coats, it wasn't at all lumpy, dries really quick and last long. This one is a must have!!!

2nd Milani Neon fresh teal: I haven't had a chance to wear this one because Starry, Starry flight has held up so well. I love teal polishes and a neon teal polish sounds good to me. This polish you are suppose to use a white base color for the teal color to pop (actually say it on the label). I cant wait to use it with a nice nail art design.

3 and 4 Love & Beauty (Forever 21 polish) No name and Camel:

I had to get these 2 polishes because I don't have anything that looks like either one of these. Camel is a little darker then a nude it reminds me of OPI Barefoot in Barcelona which I had but it got lost in the move so why not get a cheaper version on it. The other didn't have a price tag so no name on it. I really like this one it has really thin holo glitter and a great plum color. These polishes are about $3 and they have a variety of colors these are the only ones that stood out to me.

Finally 2 silver holo glitters. Snowman and Wet N' Wild Wild Shine Cheers
I got these because I gave the holo glitter I did have away while I was in search of Starry, Starry Flight I found these 2 and I couldn't decide so I got them both. I swatched them on my nail wheel and I liked the snowman better because it has more glitter and dries faster(its cuter too). Ill probably end up giving away the other one. I got these at Rite Aid and they both cost under $2.That's all for this week cant wait till my package gets delivered so I can show you the wonderful polishes I got!
