The bracelet's length is currently 20cm, and I can shorten it if requested.

All of the beads used in my work go directly from flame to kiln where they are properly kiln annealed for strength and longevity. They are then properly cleaned with a Dremel diamond reamer. I use Italian, German and American Boutique glass and create most of my beads on 1/16th mandrels and focals on 3/32nd mandrels.

Steampunk Rutilated Quartz Rings

A few weeks ago i received the rutilated quartz i was waiting for . It is quite a challenge to find the exact size needed and good quality . I made a lot of research to finally find exactly what i was looking for.

Rutilated quartz can be in many places including Australia, Brazil, Kazakhstan, Madagascar, Norway, Pakistan and the United States.

There are a few types of rutilated quartz , The golden , The black and the Multi . Until recently i didn't know about this 3rd type of rutilated quartz as it is less common than the other one . Because rutilated quartz became one i my favorite stone i continued my search and found this awesome variation of the stone .

When choosing rutilated quartz there are a few characteristics that makes it more valuable . The best quality is found when the rutile are long across the stone . The space between the rutile is translucent and or less cloudy . The visibility and size of the rutile . The coloring of the rutile . The polish of the stone and hardness .

So far i have not seen this variety of rutilated quartz on ETSY.

Steampunk Rings

Our Steampunk Rings

I remember a few months ago when a friend told me 'have you heard about steampunk?’ I had no idea what he was talking about. I knew what it was but didn't know it had a name. He described it to me because he saw that I was making rings that were very similar to that style. With a little research and experiment with different materials, I created a unique style of rings. I wanted it to look like something mechanical . I also used material of natural copper and gun metal color to give it an antique look.

The technique I used includes a lot of precise coiling and twisting of 2 pieces of wire. I used about 1 meter of copper wire per ring. Originally I only had antique metal and borosilicate glass bead for the centerpiece. Recently I have included some interesting semi-precious stones: Indian Agate, Leopardskin jasper,red coral, smoky agate ,tiger eye beads and Boulder Matrix Opal.
Part of the fun in making these rings is in selecting the perfect centerpiece.

I'm also in the process of creating imaginary powers of stones , ideas for different mechanism and how these rings would have been used in the steampunk era . I used to play Role Playing game like shadowrun and Dungeon and dragon . I enjoy playing but even more creating new worlds , magical items and scenarios . Creating these rings opened many opportunities for others creative projects that I'm looking forward to realize .
