My Outfit.

And....I'M OFF! Tonight I'm heading to Berlin and Prague for a mini-vacation with a friend. I won't be able to post while I'm away but promise that I will have a new post when I'm back next weekend (hopefully with lots of stories to tell!) and I already look forward to catching up on your blogs.

I attempted to take pictures of my outfit by myself (without boyfriend or tripod) and I apologize for the weird angles! I hope you can still see the gist of my outfit although the photos aren't too clear.

Hard to tell but I'm wearing a bodysuit with a bandage skirt, tights, blazer and combat boots... what do you think?

I promise to get a tripod to take better solo shots!

I'm wearing:

Bodysuit - American Apparel
Bandage Skirt - BCBG
Tights - H&M
Blazer - H&M
Bracelet - Tiffany
Necklace - Forever21
Rings - Jeweler at River Kwai, Bangkok, Thailand
Combat Boots: Macy's (can't find the company name)
Nails: Essie Mesmerize

What's everyone up to this weekend? Please keep in touch & follow me :)

Super Fly or Superhero?!

Good Morning!

I was going through some pictures online from New York Fashion Week and noticed that a lot of capes were being shown for spring and fall 2011. I often struggle with this trend... I have one grey, plaid cape which I absolutely adore but the reason I struggle is because I don't always find it practical. It's definitely easy to 'throw on' as you're walking out the door, but is it warm? I'm either too cold or too hot... I never know what type of weather is appropriate.

I'm still, however, attracted to this trend and fell in love with the following:

What do you think of capes? Are they super fly or merely for superheros?

My Outfit.

Good Morning and TGIF!

I wanted to do another outfit post before the weekend. This was an outfit I wore out one night... I never know what to wear in this weather as some days are freezing and others are hot. I just can't wait for spring!

I think this outfit is a mix of casual and edgy... and I'm loving mustard and animal prints this season. What do you think?

And now the close-ups:

I'm wearing:

Sweater - Forever21
Leggings - American Apparel
Shoes - Stuart Weitzman
Purse - Chanel
Bracelets - BCBG & Tiffany
Ring - BCBG
Watch - Nixon
Nailpolish - hands: Sally Hasen Insta-Dri in Silver Sweep and feet: Essie in Wicked

What are you all doing this weekend?

The MAXI Skirt.

Splurge. Save.

This will be a series of posts where I explore the latest fashion trends AND tell you where to get them cheap.

Although I love miniskirts, I see the appeal of the maxi skirt, yet I was not completely sure how to pull it off. But - maxi skirts are all the rage so I had to explore this trend. I think what is most appealing is the fact that they're comfortable and feminine, and can be dressed up or totally casual. Also, I think these are easy to throw on with any (or most!) items in your closet: cropped tops, tank tops, sweaters, t-shirts... you name it! But - one warning - you want to ensure that you don't look like a 'bag lady,' ie. don't pair your maxi with a flouncy top, a pouffy blouse, a sweatshirt or sneakers.

The how-to on wearing this twentysomething trend:

Day.Work.Night.
Day: Cropped tank top, hobo bag and maybe even a chunky necklace... voila!
Work: Simple, neutral colors and no loud patterns. I love the cuff as it really polishes the entire look.
Night: Blazer, belt, heels... all black everything!

Tell me what you think and give me some stylin' tips!
