Reese Witherspoon Eats Cookies to Look Younger - Nutricosmetics

According to an interview with In Touch Weekly magazine, Reese Witherspoon has been eating cookies which claim to have anti-aging properties. According to Pop Crunch:

The Walk The Line star is rumored a huge fan of beauty giant BORBA’s DeLuscious Vitamin Enhanced Cookies, which claim to combat fine lines and wrinkles.
The tasty treats come in different flavors including Oatmeal Raisin and Chocolate Toffee White Chocolate, and boast more than nine minerals and vitamins.

These cookies are commonly known as nutricosmetics, or foods believed by some to have anti-aging properties. Many of them have anti-oxidants and are packed with vitamins and minerals. Some examples include Borba's skin balance gummy bears and age-defying water. While it's big business overseas, nutricosmetics (or nutriceuticals) have not become as big a hit here in the U.S., although some high end stores do carry these types of foods.

What's my opinion? I think that virtually anything you eat that is good for you (fruit and veggies=good, fat fried salty foods=bad) will help keep you looking younger. That's common sense. I once worked with a plastic surgeon who loved Burger King. He ate Whoppers all the time and his face was a greasy mess. I bet if he changed his diet he'd look much better. I often see this in my patients. The ones who don't drink, don't smoke, stay out of the sun, and eat good foods look younger than the ones who do all of the above.

It's just that they might not have as much fun in life...

Reps Deny Gyllenspoon Engagement

Doing what PR flacks are paid stupid amounts of money to do, which is deny, deny, deny, reps for Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon are saying there is absolutely no truth to a UK report of an engagement. Usually this would mean that, of course they are engaged, but do not want the world to know yet, but since I wholeheartedly believe that Jake is Toothy Tile, I doubt an impending marriage is forthcoming. Unless of course it would mean a great career boost for both parties involved, then it's a possibility, and of course if they were trying to desperately to hide the fact that Jake is, in fact, playing for the other team.

Are We All Up for "Gyllenbiel"?

Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Biel are slated to star together in a film called 'Nailed', which is described as a "risque political satire", and is set to be directed by David O' Russell.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jessica plays a woman who accidentally ends up with a nail in her head that causes her to experience overwhelming sexual urges, while Jake, who has recently come (somewhat) clean about his romantic relationship with Reese Witherspoon, stars as a politician who takes advantage of her situation.

I really hope that the powers that be don't try to make up an on-set romance between Jessica and Jake. Look how well that plan went for "GyllenSpoon". I think 'Rendition' made about 20 bucks at the box office?

Gyllenspoon Back On....For Now

The on again/off again pairing of Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon seems to be back on again. Of course, that could change literally by the time you are done reading this post, so read quick.

Anywhoo, the toothsome twosome are in Rome promoting 'Rendition', and they've been seen doing the tourist thing while cuddling and holding hands.

After checking in to separate $2,000-a-night suites at
Rome’s Hotel de Russie -- “It was stressed that they must be staying on the same floor,” a source tells Us Weekly -- the costars (who may have felt free to be seen together since the movie opened) held hands and cuddled as they hit touristy spots like the Trevi Fountain and the Colosseum.

They looked like “a couple on holiday,” says a witness.

And that’s exactly what they wanted. Before cooling off in September after six months of on-and-off dating, “they had talked about going to Paris,” says a source. “This is the ­European trip they never had!”

Reese and Ryan Are So O-Vah!

Reese Witherspoon and erstwhile hubby Ryan Phillippe are now officially divorced, as of today. The made-for-Hollywood couple filed papers in November of 2006, and Reese has been linked recently to her 'Rendition' co-star Toothy Tile Jake Gyllenhaal.

Witherspoon and Phillippe were married for seven years, and have two kids, Ava and Deacon.

Reese Bails on New Film

America's sweetheart Reese Witherspoon has made at least one enemy as of late. Witherspoon was set to produce and star in a remake of 'Bunny Lake is Missing', and instead dropped out without explanation a month before filming was set to begin.

Joe Carnahan, the director, is so furious that he fired his manager Evelyn O'Neill, who also manages Witherspoon. Filmmakers are desperately looking for a replacement for Reese, but with the production set to start so soon, insiders say that filming will probably be delayed.

The project has been in the works for three years, and is based on a 1965 film about a woman who reports her daughter missing, only to be confronted by charges that she never existed.

Reese and Jake Sittin' in a Tree...

Is this a match made in PR Heaven, or what? OK! magazine is spouting off that America's sweethearts, Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon, have more than just work on their minds. The two are working together on a film called 'Rendition', and OK! insists that they are more than just co-workers, and have been spotted going between Jake's condo and Reese's hotel room.

Of course, reps have nothing to say about the possible union.

It will be interesting to see where this goes, or if it goes anywhere. Jake is widely thought to playing for the other team, while Reese seems to be little miss innocent, concentrating on nothing more than work and kids.

Witherspoon and Clooney?

In Touch reports that Reese Witherspoon and George Clooney were spotted having dinner together at Casa Vega in Sherman Oaks in January. An insider told the magazine that it was just a business meeting to talk about the possibility of Reese starring in a film about George's aunt, Rosemary Clooney. BUT, one of Clooney's friends thinks that he might be interested in Reese as more than just an actress, especially now that she's single.

Photogs spotted Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe together, but don't get your hopes up, you romantics out there. The recently estranged couple are behaving civilly for the kids' sake, and went to daughter Ava's school play together.

Witherspoon and Phillippe have been together for seven years, but split up in October amid rumors of Ryan's infidelities and on-set romance for his flick 'Flags of our Fathers.' Reese was reportedly furious with Ryan, and there was lots of bad blood between the two, but it seems they have called a truce for now.

Witherspoon out, Beckinsale in for 'Whiteout'

A couple of years ago there was a bit of buzz about Reese Witherspoon being attached to a script called 'Whiteout'. The story is about the first ever murder taking place in Antarctica, and US Marshal Carrie Stetko has to find the murderer before the sun sets, or she will be trapped with him (or her) in the darkness for six months.

Now the movie is set to get going, however Reese's name is no longer on it. Now it's set to star Kate Beckinsale, who I think will be a little more convincing as a US Marshal.

Nothing against Reese, but she is a bit better in fluffier roles. I guess that is what they call being typecast.

Good for Ryan! He has been spotted with a pretty new girl, who is quite physically opposite looking of Ryan's ex, Reese Witherspoon. The pair was spotted out publicly for the first time at Dan Tana restaurant in West Hollywood, where Ryan wouldn't speak to photogs about the relationship. The pair left in quite a rush when pictures started to be snapped.
