Thanks to New York's Daily News, they have put together some of this year's most memorable quotes from the mouths of, shall we say, some of our favorite celebs:
"You know what? I am actually not that much into voting. I think it's kind of crazy that a woman is running, because I think that women deal with a lot of emotions and menopause and PMS and stuff. Like, I'm so moody all the time. I know I couldn't be able to run a country 'cause I'd be crying one day and yelling at people the next day, you know?" - Brooke Hogan on her reality show.
"Jesus was persecuted, and I'm going to get persecuted, you know?" - Heidi Montag to USA Today.
"I cried my eyelashes off." - Oprah Winfrey on Barack Obama's win in November.
"This song is for the emotionally retarded. You might know a few people who fall into that category. God knows I do." - Madonna shortly after her divorce became public.
"Somebody needs to step up and get this young woman into some quality care - and I do not apologize one whit, not one second, for trying to make this happen." - Dr. Phil on Britney Spears.
"Chace is built like a porcelain doll. I don't even know if he bleeds. He might have been crafted by Mattel. He has, like, the teen-idol genome. He's...beautiful." - Penn Badgley on costar Chace Crawford.
"I think it's really artsy. It wasn't in a skanky way. Annie took, like, a beautiful shot, and I thought that was really cool. That's what she wanted me to do, and you can't say no to Annie. She's so cute. She gets this puppy-dog look and you're like 'Okay.'" - Miley Cyrus on her controversial photo shoot for Vanity Fair.

Madonna Pays Up
Madonna and ex-hubby Guy Ritchie have reached a divorce settlement in which Ritchie will receive an amount between $76 million and $92 million. This includes the value of their country home in Ashcombe in western England as well as Punchbowl, their London pub. The singing star cited Ritchie's "unreasonable behavior" as the cause. The two were recently granted a preliminary "quickie divorce."

The Material Girl And The Director Are No More

Perhaps you saw it coming but it's finally official- Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie have confirmed they are divorcing after seven and a half years of marriage.
Earlier this summer, when rumors were rampant about Madonna's involvement with the New York Yankees' Alex Rodriguez and word had it she'd hired Paul McCartney's divorce lawyer, Madonna dismissed any claims of unhappiness.
"My husband and I are not planning on getting a divorce," she said.

Madonna to debut film in Berlin

Madonna's debut movie as a director will have its world premiere at the annual Berlin film festival in February. "Filth and Wisdom," starring Eugene Hutz, Richard E. Grant and Stephen Graham, will screen in the Panorama section, outside the main competition, a festival statement said Thursday. Organizers didn't specify whether the 49-year-old singer will come to Berlin to present the movie. The event, which runs from Feb. 7-17, is the first of the year's major European film festivals.

Madonna files suit against building co-op

Madonna really is just like everyone else in New York - she wants more space, and now she's suing for it. Madge filed suit yesterday in Manhattan Supreme Court, alleging that the co-op board at her ritzy Central Park West building isn't letting her expand her current 6,000-square-foot duplex pad into her ex-neighbor's place, which is in the midst of being sold. The summons accuses the co-op board of breach of contract for holding up that sale, and demands that her shares be transferred. Neither the board nor the ex-neighbor could be reached for comment.
