Eddie Murphy's Side of the Baby Mama Drama (Sort Of)

Eddie Murphy has never spoken publicly about the drama involving Melanie Brown and the baby, Angel, except when he first said the baby wasn't his. Now someone, of course a nameless source, who says they know the real deal, has sounded off with "Eddie's side" of things.

An acquaintance of Eddie Murphy has volunteered some info on WHY Eddie appeared to treat Melanie Brown, the mother of his child Angel, so badly. According to the source, Eddie and Melanie never lived together and in fact, only slept together three times. She assured Eddie that she had a coil implanted for contraception. That's why, when Mel told Eddie she was pregnant, he couldn't believe he was the father. Eddie had already decided that Melanie wasn't up to his standards quality-wise. On one of their first dates she hinted that she'd like to have a three-way. And she was a bit loud and flashy at times. Supposedly, their relationship was already over when Melanie told Eddie she was pregnant. When he reacted badly she offered him a deal: she'd leave him alone if he'd give her nine million dollars, a Malibu house, and living expenses for 18 years. Eddie feels like he was conned and never wants to lay eyes on her again so he won't be visiting their daughter Angel. Eddie figures that when Angel gets older she might try to contact HIM.

Halle Berry's Golden Globes

I think that one of the awards shows should add a category of "Best Pregnancy Mams". Halle Berry could go up against other mammarily blessed mamas like Salma Hayek, Samantha Harris, Britney Spears, and Scary Spicegirl Mel B.

Spice Girls' Video Shoot a Disaster

Looks like the legendary 'Battle of the Egos' that plagued the Spice girls pre-breakup hasn't got any better, and according to reports, has gotten worse. Things are so bad that the shoot for their first video since reuniting has ended in disaster due to the girls' diva-like demands, goofy behavior, and complaints.

The Spice Girls' comeback video shoot ended in tears and tantrums on Friday. Things didn't go smoothly when the reunited girl group gathered at London's Pinewood Studios to film the promo for their new single 'Headlines (Friendship Never Ends)', with Emma Bunton breaking down when the session ran until 3am because of Geri Halliwell's constant meditation.

Mel B and Victoria Beckham - who flew in from Los Angeles that morning - also disrupted proceedings. Mel constantly complained she was suffering from jet lag, while Victoria insisted on having an assistant follow her around with a supply of fruit and champagne.

Mel C also complained about the duration of the shoot.

A source said: "Things were very delayed. The director was tearing his hair out and threatening to walk."

"The girls were so tired and Emma was crying as the shoot just went on and on."

"Geri kept slowing things down by meditating and doing strange spiritual stuff."

"It's just like before but now their egos are even bigger."

Did people actually think that the passage of time would actually bring about a better behaved and more down to earth group of girls??

Melanie B. Names Her Kid.....Again

Okay, color me completely confused. I am reading all these blurbs that Melanie Brown, aka Scary Spice, has named her new baby girl and put Eddie Murphy down as the dad.

Didn't we already cover this?

Here's the other confusing part: All the blurbs say that the baby's name is Angel Iris Murphy Brown. Didn't she already name the kid Fortuna Bay, like 2 weeks ago? None of these blurbs mention anything about the name change, and she already had Murphy on the birth certificate.

What the h-e-double-toothpicks is going on here?

Scary Spice Puts Murphy's Name on Birth Certificate

Melanie Brown, AKA Scary Spice, popped out her new baby girl named Fortuna Daphne Bay a few days ago, but that's not what's news here. The news part is that she went ahead and put Eddie Murphy's name on the baby's birth certificate after he publicly denied being the baby's father.

The couple dated for six months last year until Murphy announced on TV that "we're not together anymore".

Last November - a month after Brown announced her pregnancy news - the Dreamgirls actor publicly dismissed her claims of paternity on Dutch TV show RTL Boulevard, saying, "I don't know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test."

No tests have been announced yet, and Murphy has not responded or commented on the birth of Brown's baby.

Scary Spice is New Mom

Melanie Brown, AKA Scary Spice, is a new mama to an unnamed baby girl. The baby was born this morning at 12:11am, coincidentally on supposed baby-daddy Eddie Murphy's own birthday.

Stay tuned to the saga of finding out who is the baby's daddy. Paternity testing will follow, if Murphy has his way. He denies that Scary's baby is his.

Brown's spokeswoman says, "The baby is completely healthy with a good head of hair. Mother and baby are now resting. No name has been decided on as yet, and she is purely known as Baby Brown."

Mel B's Badonka-WHOA!

We go from Bridget Moynihan's itty bitty bump to Mel B's mega badonka-bump. Mel's about to pop, and growing every which way from Sunday. She still looks pretty good though.

Scary Spice is Scary Pregnant

Poor Melanie Brown, a.k.a. Scary Spice, is six months pregnant, and is looking a bit done in. I'm supposed to giver her a pregancy pass, but I just can't. Homegirl needs to clean herself up a bit to go out in public. Maybe just a dab of concealer?

Murphy to Scary Spice: Screw You, and London Too

TMZ reports that Eddie Murphy skipped the London premiere of 'Dreamgirls' because he not only didn't want to run into pregnant ex Melanie Brown, but he was scared of her rabid British fans. Murphy's reps say he just had scheduling conflicts with the publicity for his new film 'Norbit'.

I'd be scared too after the public, and not so subtle, way he dumped her live on a Dutch talkshow, and at the same time denied he is the father of her unborn child.

Smooth moves, Eddie. You've got a way with the ladies, dude.
