Former Birkhead Bodyguard Spills Some Beans

A former bodyguard of Larry Birkhead, Mark Speer, has come forward with a few allegations, some of which are more shocking than others. One of them alleges that Anna Nicole posed in some photos with son Daniel in her hospital bed, and he was already dead in the pictures.

Even more shocking [than other revelations] is a trip Speer says he took with Birkhead on a private jet belonging to a wealthy friend of Smith's. The friend's wife "pulled out a stack of photographs," Speer recalls. "They were pictures of Anna and the baby ... in a hospital bed with her son Daniel. Daniel appeared to be dead. [The friend] told me he was dead."

That's just sick and wrong if it's true.

First Photos of Dannielynn and Daddy Larry

The first photos of little Dannielynn Smith have gone to OK! magazine, and they paid dearly for the rights. Baby daddt Larry Birkhead says all the proceeds from the photos will go into a trust for the baby.

In the meantime Birkhead is taking a beating from the other tabs who didn't get any pictures of the baby, and they are saying everything from Larry's a deadbeat, to he's partying the nights away impregnating random ladies, to he's actually gay. Birkhead has hired power attorney Marty Singer to serve defamation of character suits on some of the mags.

Hugh Hefner Really Wants His Burial Plot for Himself

Donna Hogan, sister of Anna Nicole Smith, contacted Hugh Hefner and asked him to give up his burial plot next to Marilyn Monroe so Anna could be buried there instead.

The tycoon, who hopes to be buried next to the movie icon at Westwood Memorial Park in Los Angeles when he dies, admits he was floored by the strange request from DONNA HOGAN, which came days after the death of 1993's Playmate of the Year.

He reveals, "The sister asked if it was possible to be buried there, which I though was out of the blue."

Hefner declined the odd offer, but not out of disrespect for Anna Nicole, who he admits he liked a lot.

Donna Hogan gave a teary explanation to Hugh Hefner on why she wanted him to give up his plot. She told Hugh that Anna Nicole Smith was such a devoted fan to Marilyn and idolized her so much, that it would only be right for her to lay next to her in death. Donna then started talking about how much Hugh claimed that he liked Anna and if he really did, he would give up the plot so that Anna could rest in peace next to her idol.

On the other hand, Hugh is more than willing to dedicate an upcoming Playboy issue to Anna, featuring her image on the cover and previously unreleased photos of her in a layout. He says the spread will be a tasteful tribute to the former model.

Cause of Death for Anna Nicole Released

Apparently The National Enquirer and Star magazines were right on in their breaking of the cause of death of Anna Nicole Smith. Broward County Medical Examiner Joshua Perper confirmed that a blood infection in combination with an accidental overdose of Chloral Hydrate, and other combo of drugs caused Smith's death. He has ruled it accidental, with no evidence of foul play or suicide.

The blood infection was from an abscess in her left buttock that was the site of multiple injections. The last injection Smith received perforated the puss filled abscess, causing the infection to spread into her body.

Smith had not taken methadone on the day of her death, but there was evidence that she had taken it several days earlier.

Had Anna gone to the hospital when it was recommended to her, she would more than likely be alive today.

Star Magazine Says it has Anna Nicole's Cause of Death

Star magazine online says it has the world exclusive report that says Anna Nicole Smith died from a toxic level of sleeping medication chloril hydrate in her system.

In a joint effort between the National Enquirer and Star, the two released an article saying that the model had a ragin blood infection that would have killed her, even if the sleeping meds had not. Contrary to other reports, Anna did not have any methadone or other painkilling drugs in her system at the time of her death.

The ENQUIRER learned that just before she left the Bahamas for Florida on February 5, three days before she died, Anna Nicole received an injection in her left buttock.

Tests did not reveal what that substance was.

"As she boarded the plane for Miami, Anna Nicole developed a painful abscess at the site of the injection," said a source with knowledge of the case. "The needle wasn't sterile. The pain kept getting worse as the abscess got larger and larger very quickly."

From Miami, Anna Nicole and her live-in lawyer Howard K. Stern traveled to Hollywood, Fla. The pain from the abscess became excruciating and Anna Nicole developed a high fever.

By the time she got to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino her fever was 105.

Anna Nicole, unaware that her blood was being poisoned by infection, had also developed a second infection from a virulent form of norovirus, which causes intestinal problems.

It was at this point that Anna Nicole — and her entourage — made a fatal mistake. She refused to go to a hospital, a decision that would have saved her life.

Instead, Anna's people gave her an ice bath to control the fever, administered the antibiotic ciprofloxacin by mouth and gave her an over-the-counter flu medicine.

As the needle-caused infection took over her body, she began vomiting, had severe diarrhea and could not urinate.

On February 6, a Tuesday, Anna spent the whole day in bed. She could not keep fluids down. She was becoming severely dehydrated.

On Wednesday, February 7, Anna seemed somewhat better, but she wasn't, the source said.

"She was still vomiting and suffering diarrhea," said the source. "Again, she spent the whole day in bed, as the abscess continued to grow. She was in such pain, she just wanted to sleep."

And that's when the final fatal mistake was made. Sometime overnight on February 7, Anna ingested the sleeping medication chloral hydrate. The drug is extremely potent. The dose was too much — and in fact it was a toxic level, the ENQUIRER and Star have learned exclusively. On Thursday, February 8, Anna never woke up.

A nurse found her unresponsive at about 1:30 p.m.

At 2:49 p.m., Anna Nicole Smith was pronounced dead.

Chloral hydrate can cause depression of respiration, especially in a person who is already sick because of an infection and dehydration and it can cause death within a relatively short period of time.

Anna Nicole also had scarring from numerous injections she got in the buttocks.

Daniel Smith Almost Hired PI to Protect Anna Nicole

Anna Nicole Smith's son Daniel came close to hiring a PI to look into his mother's affairs, specifically her relationship with Howard K. Stern. Daniel confided in private detective Jack Harding three months before his death, but did not follow through on his plan to hire him.

In a private meeting, Daniel told Harding he feared his mother was being held "a virtual prisoner" in Nassau, the Bahamas by Stern, who was controlling her like a svengali. Harding tells the Globe, "Daniel felt Stern was keeping her on mind-bending drugs even though she was pregnant (with baby Dannielynn). He feared for his mother's well-being... and he was angry at being pushed out of his mother's life." Following Daniel's suspicious drug overdose death days after his baby sister was born, the private detective contacted Bahamian detectives. He adds, "I told them of our discussions and Daniel's concerns. They seemed interested." And then, when Anna Nicole Smith died last month (FEB07), Harding's suspicions left him with several questions. He explains, "When two people die so tragically in ways that may be related... police need to pursue every lead."

Sounds like things could get awfully sticky for Howard in the near future.

A german rarities collector has purchased Anna Nicole Smith's diaries from an Ebay auction for a cool half mil and some change. The buyer is a businessman from Hamburg, Germany, but beyond that information wished to remain anonymous. All the Ebay seller would release was that he is a huge Anna Nicole fan.

DNA Samples Taken, Everyone Waits for Results

Both Larry Birkhead and baby Dannielynn Smith had DNA samples taken at the doctor's office today in the Bahamas. Howard K. Stern was not compelled to submit a sample because, according to Bahamian law, he is the father because his name is on the birth certificate.

Now it just remains to be seen if Dannielynn's and Larry's DNA is a match. If it isn't, then the case goes back to court. The samples are being sent to a lab in Ohio for testing.

I, for one, am most interested to see who the real daddy is. All of the theories floating around over the past month or so has peaked my curiosity. Especially the theory that the father could possibly be Anna Nicole's own son, Daniel, or her dead octagenarian husband Marshall Pierce. I don't think there really are any other contenders, especially the ex who's in jail, Prince Asshat, or OJ Simpson.

The judge in the Dannielynn Smith paternity case has officially ordered up everyone involved to pony up their DNA samples. Prince Asshat and OJ Simpson have been excluded from the pool.

Larry Birkhead was jubilant as he left the courtroom, because if he is proven to be Dannielynn's daddy, all that stands between him and daddyhood is a passport for Dannielynn.

Larry Birkhead Has a Stalker

Larry Birkhead has a fan. I think there's just the one. Anyway, a stick thin blond lady has been spotted outside the courtroom several times while Birkhead has been inside attempting to win custody of baby Dannielynn Smith. Yesterday as Larry left the courtroom and got into his car, the blond followed him and tried to get into the car with him. Von Asshat is Suing O'Reilly

Prinz von Asshat, otherwise known as Frederick von Anhalt and "possible father" of Dannielynn Smith, is suing Bill O'Reilly for defamation of character. Apparently O'Reilly called von Asshat a "fraud" on the air, and the Prince didn't like being called that.

According to a transcript posted on the Fox News Channel Website, O'Reilly did indeed use the F-word with regard to von Anhalt's paternity claim.

"Look, this guy's a fraud. We know he's a fraud," O'Reilly was quoted as saying. "His credibility...is finished."

In his court documents, filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, von Anhalt claims O'Reilly's "false and/or defamatory" words "directly injure[d] his reputation in a substantial portion of his community."

As a result, he is seeking the princely sum of at least $10 million in damages.

The lawsuit also names Fox News Channel as a defendant. A Fox spokesperson said Thursday that the network had not yet seen the suit and therefore could not comment on it.

Prinz Frederick von Anhalt is one of the legions of men who came forward to claim paternity of Anna Nicole Smith's baby after Smith died in February. He claims that he carried on a 10 year affair with the former Playboy model. Unfortunately evn Prince Asshat's wife, Zsa Zsa Gabor says he's full of it, and that he is a compulsive media hound.

Apparently this is his only gambit for name recognition and attention that has really ever paid off for him. No one had ever heard of him until about 30 days ago. He's not even a real Prince, as his name might suggest.

Wikipedia says that he was born Hans Robert Lichtenberg, and was adopted in 1980 by Princess Marie Auguste of Anhalt. He took the name Frédéric Prinz von Anhalt when he was adopted. Wikipedia goes on to say "the adoption and name change did not confer any title or nobility, though this is often assumed by various media outlets unfamiliar with the technicalities of the adoption and which, therefore, frequently refer to him incorrectly as a prince."

Well that clears that up.

Law & Order Takes on Anna Nicole

Most of television's crime dramas get their plots from current headlines, and NBC's 'Law & Order' is no exception. This time they are pilfering the news for Anna Nicole Smith's recent death.

Playing the fictionalized Anna Nicole will be film has-been and recent 'Skating With the Stars' alum Kristy Swanson, and her cohort in crime Howard K. Stern will be Jon Lovitz, of Saturday Naight Live fame. A character based loosely on Anna's mom Virgie Arthur and her half-sister Donna Hogan will also be included, while Larry Birkhead's role supposedly isn't being included.

The episode will air on 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent' in May.

Anna Nicole Has Another Child!

We've all heard the stories about the zillion guys throwing their hat in the Dannielyn Smith paternity ring, but have you heard about the kid throwing his hat into the BABY RING?

A Phoenix, Arizona area man has come forward, telling his story to local paper the Phoenix New Times, and says that he has custody of Anna Nicole's son, Marshall Soto, born in 2001.

M.E. Won't Release Anna Nicole's Cause of Death

The medical examiner who did the autopsy on Anna Nicole Smith has the results the world has been waiting for, but he's not telling. Joshua Perper has determined the cause of death, but isn't releasing the information until the police have finished their investigation, which could take anywhere from one to several weeks. Perper says that he doesn't want his findings to influence or conflict with the authorities investigation.

Theories have abounded as to what killed the Playboy model, including lupus, pneumonia, and drug overdose. Those theories have also included hints of foul play by her lawyer/partner, Howard K. Stern.

I guess we'll see who was right and who was wrong soon enough.

Anna Nicole's Burial Gown

Beverly Hills clothing designer Pol' Atteu has released a picture of the dress he designed for Anna Nicole to be buried in.

Anna Nicole Smith's funeral was modeled after a wedding, right down to her ball gown. The pink and ivory gown (with a matching tiara) was made of French lace, pearls and Swarovski crystals and took a day and a half to make.

The heart design and embroidered silk flowers over the bust symbolize Smith's devastation over son Daniel's death, "She died of a broken heart."

The funeral ended up being a closed casket affair, so attendees didn't see Anna or her dress.

OJ Simpson as Dannielynn's Daddy?

Following in the footsteps of Prince Asshat, and every other guy with a d***k, OJ Simpson is throwing his hat into the Anna Nicole paternity ring circus, but doesn't really want the news to get out. Too late! TMZ is running with the story, and now the blogs have it.

Simpson told Norm Pardo, a videographer who chronicled Simpson's movements for five years, that he "knew Anna Nicole pretty well," and – prepare for gross-out – that he had "slow-moving sperm," and as a result might be the father. Of course, Pardo told Page Six.

The reason he doesn't want the revelation to get out? "I don't want Fred Goldman trying to seize her money – or the baby herself." Simpson said.

The National Enquirer Officially Lowest Life Form on the Planet

Okay, this is just plain sick. Now sources are saying that the photos that the National Enquirer ran this week of Anna Nicole Smith, that they claimed were just Photoshopped recreations of what she would have looked like dead, are actually the real thing.

Despite the National Enquirer's claim that the eerie post-mortem images of Anna Nicole Smith it published were "photo re-creations based on eyewitness accounts," a source close to the magazine says they were the actual photos of the Playboy playmate's corpse lying in a Florida mortuary. "We didn't want to get anyone fired," an Enquirer operative told The Post's Braden Keil. Someone with access to the refrigerated drawers scored a big payday after pulling out Smith's pre-embalmed body and unzipping the body bag for an Enquirer photographer to hurriedly snap her bluish face.

If this is true, then I for one won't be using the Enquirer as a source for stories anymore. In fact, when I originally ran this story I had a conversation with my husband on this very subject, and I said emphatically that editors that run photos of actual dead celebrites are the ilk on the bottom of life's shoes. That's just going way over the line, in my opinion.

Enquirer Runs Fake Dead Anna Nicole Photo

The National Enquirer titillated readers by running photos of, what look like, the dead Anna Nicole Smith in a body bag. It turns out the photos are a fake, and the Enquirer editors defends their actions by saying the photos are simply a recreation, and it's similar to the way a police sketch artist works.

"It's almost the way a sketch artist works. There were so many different layers of how to achieve it, I couldn't even begin to describe it to you."

When asked if he thought his magazine's methods resorting to Photoshop a bit cheap, he responded "I don't think so, because it's so realistic and there's so much news in the story," argues Enquirer editor in chief David Perel. (The article claims it was pneumonia, not a drug overdose, that killed Smith.) "If you had our images side-by-side with the actual photos, I don't know if you'd be able to tell them apart."

I say, cheap tactics to sell a rag.

Anna Nicole Died of Pneumonia

The National Enquirer is reporting that the preliminary findings in the investigation of Anna Nicole Smith's death indicate that the actress died of severe pneumonia. In addition, the prescription drugs she was taking made her condition worse and did play a role, though the toxicology reports have yet to come back.

Sources told The Enquirer that the painkillers Smith was taking masked the seriousness of her symptoms. Anna had been hospitalized after her son's death for pneumonia, and apparently either wasn't over the original bout, or had relapsed at the time of her death.
