Steampunk Cicada Sculpture & Frame

I decided to finish the cicada and place it in a frame in which it is hanging on a hook and can be easily remove to be placed on its legs.

It is hanging among set of antique keys and decorated with many vintage clock gears .
This is just a quick picture , i plan to take better pictures of the frame this week .

I received a pile of 1 pound of tiny clock parts . Now i have so many different kind to play with . I just find new things every time i look at it . Yesterday i made my first ring out of a few parts . I used a mysterious amber bead , drilled tiny holes in it and inlay clock gears and parts . These gears are very tiny so it take a lot of patience to work with and also a lot of time .

Work in progress : A Chunk of Robot

Last Month i started this pendant piece using polymer clay for the first time. Quite a lot of fun to play with .

I have decided to put the finishing touch . Now all i have to do is find a nice chain and antiqued clasp. This is the Robot chunk before the paint .

I have applied a chaos black base and added a layer of iridescent Bronze fine acrylic paint.
Then some medium gloss varnish . I also included a brass gear from an old vintage watch and a golden swarovski crystal .
