Golden Globes May Not Air on TV

The televised announcement of nominations for the Golden Globe Awards this morning may be the only thing TV viewers will see of the trophy contest if the writers' strike continues past Jan. 13 when the Globes telecast is scheduled to air on NBC. Even without writers contributing banter for the presenters, several top actors have indicated they will not cross a picket line if it is set up at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, the site of the awards ceremonies. WGA spokesman Greg Mitchell told today's (Thursday) Washington Post that it is "too early to tell" whether the guild will withdraw its pickets and grant a waiver allowing writers to work on the show.

Diaz Fugs it Up Again

Cameron Diaz wears yet another inexplicable dress, this time to the Tokyo premiere of 'The Holiday'. The too bright white skirt was so tight that Cam could barely walk the red carpet. Diaz's last three fashion disasters have all been some combination of black and white or plain white. Perhaps she should think about moving on to a new color scheme in the near future.

Beginning at the Golden Globes and continuing right on through the Oscars, Rose McGowan was the subject of much speculation because of the way one of her eyes appeared in pictures. At the Globes, she had some pronounced droopiness and/or bagginess under an eye, and a lot of blogs posted about it. Then she appeared at Oscar after parties with a heavily made up Band-aid under that same eye, minus the droopies. Today in Page Six, she attempted to explain away the bandage by saying she was involved in a car accident some weeks ago, and her eyeglasses cut her.

ROSE McGowan , a star of upcoming gore-fest "Grindhouse," had a gory experience of her own a few weeks ago - but it could have been worse. McGowan was a passenger in a car that collided with another, and the accident pushed her eyeglasses into her face. "I didn't realize I was hurt until I put my hand to my face and felt the flap of skin. My glasses had sliced me under my eye," the gorgeous actress tells us. She was terrified of scarring, but found an excellent plastic surgeon.

No accident was ever reported on that invloved McGowan, that I could find. She also waited until now to talk about it, AFTER she was slammed in the blogs, and accused of being a "crack-whore"? You be the judge. Leave your comments!

The Wardrobe Malfunctions at the Oscars

People.com reported on the innocent occurences that befell some of the red carpet folk as they took their turn in front of the photographers. Sadly for the bored masses, no nipples or bare buns made an appearance.

No, not that kind of wardrobe malfunction. But these ladies – and their outfits – barely made it out of the red carpet alive! Below, the injured parties on the red carpet:

• Maggie Gyllenhaal's dress looked great on the red carpet – literally. Her feather-trimmed Proenza Schouler dress shedded wherever she walked.

• Only halfway down the red carpet, and Eddie Murphy's girlfriend Tracey Edmonds's long gown already had a hole in it.

• Gwyneth Paltrow made it out of the red carpet unscathed, but just a few steps into the Kodak Theatre, a woman stepped on the train of her Zac Posen gown. Thankfully, there were no visible rips – but Paltrow picked up the train. (She should have taken a cue from Kate Winslet, who employed a professional train-holder for part of the night.)

• Isla Fisher's jeweled bracelet broke on the red carpet, leaving her and fiancé Sacha Baron Cohen to fiddle with the troubled clasp as they continued to make their way down the carpet.

This was a GOOD night for Isla Fisher. At the Golden Globes the back of her dress ripped open, exposing her granny panties underneath.

Biel to be Timberlake's Party Favor?

I guess Jessica "The Booty" Biel and JT got alot done in the few minutes they were able to flirt it up at the Golden Globes after party, before Cammie burst their bubble. Perez Hilton reports today that Jess has jetted to Sundance and spent a couple of evenings together with Justin, and also some snowboarding time.

JT is in the middle of a tour right now, but is in Sundance this week for the opening of his movie 'Black Snake Moan'.

No wonder we've been seeing all these photo ops of Diaz in Hawaii with surfer boy, Kelly Slater. She is usually more of a private person, but I think she is trying a little too hard for the carefree, "Look at me and how much fun I'm having because I'm so over Justin" look.

Angelina's Ink Exchange

Mike Walker from theNational Enquirer reports that at the Golden Globes, Angelina Jolie cracked up when an elderly lady spotted the Cambodian tattoo she sports on her shoulder and offered to help her wipe off the "newspaper ink." The well-meaning woman whispered: "That newspaper ink gets all over the place - especially if you're wearing moisturizer. You must have leaned up against it. See? The letters are all backwards." Jolie explained that it wasn't ink, but a permanent tattoo - a magical incantation written in Khmer, the language of the land where adopted son Maddox was born. "My mistake," said the woman. "I'd love to get one just like it."

Angelina's a Sourpuss; Brad's Just a Pu**y

Life & Style is conjecturing that the reason behind Angelina's sourpuss mug at the Golden Globes is Brad's insistence on making peace with ex-wife Jen Aniston. There was also the little incident of Brad giving Courtney Cox a big bear hug and calling her sweetie, right in front of Angie.

The magazine goes on to say that Angie's been in communication with 'Alexander' co-star, Colin Farrell, who says he misses her and regrets not taking their relationship further.

Diaz Continues Hawaiian Adventure

TMZ reports that Cameron continues her sun, surf, 'n sand vacation in Hawaii with surfer Kelly Slater. This time the pair were spotted hitting a round of golf on Oahu wearing closely matching outfits.

She definitely looks happier than last week at the Golden Globes when she ripped Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake two new ones for "flirting".

Janet Charlton dishes that Sharon Stone and Christian Slater have definitely taken their hush hush romance public. The two were spotted "in full make out mode" at Trader Vics after the Golden Globes. This comes after many denials from the two that they were seeing each other. In one interview, Slater says "I WISH that were true...".

Now that Christian is looking to direct a film, perhaps he can give his lady-love a role exercising her acting chops. Maybe she can play someone's grandma or a coke whore, since she's eschewing all sexy roles from now on.

Cameron's not dating Kelly Slater, says his mom

Reports that Cameron Diaz is having a rebound affair with surfer Kelly Slater are just silly, his mother has revealed exclusively to In Touch.

Though Cameron has jetted off to Hawaii to be with Pamela Anderson’s hunky former boyfriend, there is nothing romantic going on, she insists.

“They have been friends for a long time,” Judy Slater said from her home in Cocoa Beach, Fla. “Every time somebody sees somebody else eating dinner, they think it’s a romantic thing. It’s silly.”

Cameron and Justin announced the end of their three-and-a-half-year romance last week, and Cam clearly needed to get away after bumping into Justin with 7th Heaven’s Jessica Biel at the Golden Globes on Monday.

Asked if she believed Cameron was using Kelly to get away, Judy said: “She might be — I don’t know. She just called him and asked if she could come over for a few days. It was nothing they had planned.”

Cameron and Kelly, both 34, have known each other since meeting on a 2005 conservation expedition to Honduras for the MTV show Trippin’.

Producers of the Golden Globes telecast were less than pleased Monday night with Maria Menounos' interviews with winners as they walked offstage. A backstage tipster said the producers "were getting antsy" watching Menounos chat with celebs, and one said, "She's just terrible." Another member of the crew responded, "This is who the brass wanted us to hire." Other insiders snickered that Menounos thinks of herself as a celebrity and is more interested in walking the red carpet than in covering it. A rep for Menounos said, "This is not true." Barry Adelman, executive producer of the Golden Globe Awards, said, "We were very pleased to have Maria as a correspondent. She did a great job and was a consummate professional."

However on Tuesday Defamer led with the story "How Maria Menounos Ruined The Greatest Moment Of America Ferrera's Life":

You know, I've got to admit, shows like Access Hollywood aren't completely useless. Even though all they do is pander to celebrities and suck up like crazy, they do at least get good access (no pun intended), which I can definitely say I don't have here in my tiny apartment.

A perfect example of said "access" is this clip from the show at the Golden Globes. As Jessica Biel enters for her interview on the red carpet, she gives Maria Menounos a serious pat on the ass, saying "the tush on that one is out of this world."

Yeah. That's hot.

It's good to know that two of the best butts in Hollywood have the hots for each other. It's definitely a great way to start off the weekend.

Chad Lowe Gets Himself A New Gal

After surely being emboldened by his ex's miserable failure at the box office, Chad Lowe's gotten out there and found himself a rebound.

Chad Lowe is seeing producer Kim Painter, his rep confirms.

"They are dating," Lowe's publicist, Cindy Guagenti, tells PEOPLE. Lowe, 39, split last year from wife Hilary Swank.

Lowe, 39, and Painter were spotted together at the Nov. 15 L.A. premiere of Carrie Fisher's one-woman show, Wishful Drinking, which Painter co-produced...

...And after the Golden Globes, they chatted and smooched at the InStyle/Warner Bros. party, and later, while waiting at the valet stand, Lowe introduced Painter to friends including Emilio Estevez, Seal and Heidi Klum. Painter grumbled about the cold and Lowe gave her a snuggle to keep her warm.

People goes on to report that Chad's career is on the upswing, too. He's going to be premiering on 24 later this month.

Now that he's out and about again, Chad has given his "What In the Hell Happened to My Career?" hermit kit—which includes bourbon, cigarettes, sleeping pills and a track suit— to his brother, Rob.

Brad Pitt may have mistaken “Extra” reporter Tanika Ray for Dreamgirls star, Jennifer Hudson. Tanika said she was in the lobby of the Beverly Hilton shortly after Jennifer won her Golden Globe when Brad and Angelina Jolie walked by and “congratulated” her.

Tanika said, “I assumed he was congratulating me on getting one of the only interviews with [him and Angelina] on the red carpet. But honestly, I didn’t know why Brad Pitt kissed me on the cheek. It’s Brad Pitt kissing me on the cheek! Honey, I could care less why.”

Brad’s spokesperson said he was away on filming and couldn’t be reached for comment.

Black people look all the same to Brad! He probably congratulated Zahara when he got home. I’m joking! Brad and Angie meet a lot of people and just got mixed up a little, that’s all.

Isaiah Issues Apology

After a firestorm of controversy over his use of offensive language on set and at Monday's Golden Globes, "Grey's Anatomy" star Isaiah Washington issued the following statement late this afternoon:

"I apologize to T.R., my colleagues, the fans of the show and especially the lesbian and gay community for using a word that is unacceptable in any context or circumstance. By repeating the word Monday night, I marred what should have been a perfect night for everyone who works on 'Grey's Anatomy.' I can neither defend nor explain my behavior. I can also no longer deny to myself that there are issues I obviously need to examine within my own soul, and I've asked for help.

I know the power of words, especially those that demean. I realize that by using one filled with disrespect I have hurt more than T.R. and my colleagues. With one word, I've hurt everyone who has struggled for the respect so many of us take for granted. I welcome the chance to meet with leaders of the gay and lesbian community to apologize in person and to talk about what I can do to heal the wounds I've opened.

T.R.'s courage throughout this entire episode speaks to his tremendous character. I hold his talent, and T.R. as a person, in high esteem. I know a mere apology will not end this, and I intend to let my future actions prove my sincerity."

Seacrest Miffed At Angelina

E!’s resident red carpet monkey Ryan Seacrest is not pleased with Angelina Jolie giving him the brush-off when he tried to interview her at the Golden Globe Awards Monday night. Seacrest, who was covering the event as part of E!’s pre-show, went off on Jolie on his KIIS-FM radio show in L.A. on Wednesday morning.

“I asked her four questions and she didn’t even answer me,” he complained. “I literally stood there and tried to ask a couple of questions. At one point I just kind of let the E! microphone sit in front of her for a second to see if she was going to acknowledge it, and she clearly wanted nothing to do with me or my question or my answer or any of it.”

Seacrest was more forgiving of Jolie’s other half, Brad Pitt, who was standing next to her during the interview and did most of the talking. “Brad was fantastic.”

The host went on to praise the actress for her charity work, but complained about her dour expression on the red carpet: “I think doing good is fantastic. A lot of people are benefiting around the world from their doing of all of these nobles things. But smile."

Cohost Ellen K then came to Angie’s defense saying, "Well, she has said that she finds all these award shows a waste of time and money."

"Well then don’t go,” Seacrest shot back. “Don’t go. Don’t go support your man. Don’t go."

After his daughter, Beyonce, walked away from the Golden Globes without an award, Matthew Knowles expressed his disgust with a somewhat familiar sounding rant.

Knowles told reporters back stage at the Beverly Hills Hilton right after the Golden Globes show ended that his daughter was outcasted and overlooked by a bureaucratic good old boy system that is still alive in 2007 as it was in 1967. "Today is MLK's birthday and it saddens me to say that things have not changed for blacks. Working class blacks and blacks in Hollywood are still being discriminated against. We still have a long way to go," he said."

It would suck spending half your life shoving your favorite daughter down everyone's throat only to find out they don't like her as much as you do. Blaming white America for it is pretty much the only way to go in this situation. Well, it's either that or punching your daughter in the nose for not being good enough. Clearly, that's Papa Joe Simpson's modus operandi and look how well it's worked for him.

Not only that, L&S has learned that over the first two weeks in January, Angie placed "several tearful calls" to Lisa Pitt — who’s married to Brad’s brother, Doug — begging her to cut ties with Brad’s ex, Jennifer Aniston, who has remained close to Lisa.
