It's All About Presentation....

by MaryAnn Carroll

Although I still struggle with trying to get just the right picture, I think that you will see some progression from the first picture below to the last.  What I have found is that using the highest quality option on my camera is well worth the space that each picture takes up on a card.  After all, you can delete them once you save them to your computer.  There is nothing that drives me more crazy that seeing items for sale that are blurry, have busy backgrounds, etc..  Well....that's an exageration....there are some things in life that drive me crazier.....

However, when it comes to online shopping, I would rather see fewer pictures displayed rather than filling up space (5 on Etsy) as opposed to those that are poorly done.  Let's talk picture taking and presentation.....

What's important to you whether you are a seller or a buyer.......or both?

The top three picture below are from my earlier days.....  done with just the standard quality and the last three are using the highest quality....and the macro option, of course.  I have an okay camera....  nothing spectacular...but it does the trick using the high quality option.

What are your frustrations when you are shopping online?
Not enough pictures, too blurry, too busy in the background?
Let's help each other by sharing our own pet peeves along with offering some useful suggestions.

The Epcot Outpost - Village Traders & Refreshment Outpost

The Epcot Outpost is located between Germany and China in the World Showcase.

Technically, it is not a country but if it were, it would be Africa. This small area has a refreshment stand, a shop and even live entertainment for guests to enjoy.

Village Traders - The outdoor market features soapstone sculptures, wood cravings including canes, hats and African masks.

Directions: From the entrance pass the large ball of Spaceship Earth and continue on to the World Showcase which surrounds the lagoon. Follow the path left (Mexico) around the lagoon till you pass China and go over the bridge. The shop/stand is on the left.

The Refreshment Cool Post offers cold drinks, soft serve ice cream, frozen yogurt, chips and fruit.

OrisRisi- is a pair of African storytellers. This couple tells folktales that they heard as children in Nigeria. The storytelling includes the playing of the drums which most people find hypnotic. Children especially love the drums.

This duo is very entertaining, as they should be. He is a music researcher and a folklorist and she grew up hearing the stories that they share with park guests. The two of them together are very animated and very good storytellers. Be sure to check a times guide for specific performance times.

Kids should stick around after the storytelling is over for a chance to play the drums.

On a hot day this is a perfect place to stop. They keep it pretty cold inside and it’s a great way to get out of the hot Florida sun and the free drinks is pretty cool too."
