I Call These Barbie Puke :)

Any ideas why I call these Barbie puke?? lol. I was feeling a little lazy last week so I decided to just go with something simple and glittery. I got a couple of new polishes that I will swatch eventually and so I decided to use one of the new polishes. The pink polish that I used is from LA Colors and is part of one of the Intense collection that I ordered from CherryCulture. You get four nail polishes for $3!!! Can't beat that! These pictures do not do this mani justice. It looked so much better in person. The pink looks a little dull in the pictures but in person it was super bright neon pink and the glitter was so shiny! I really with you all could have seen these in person since my camera refused to capture them properly :(

Barbie puked on my nails:

This is two coats of the L.A. Colors neon pink (no names on the bottles). This polish is very nice for how cheap it is. It covered well in two coats and the brush didn't suck. I put one coat of NYX Dynamic Glitter over top which has holo chunky glitter and fine pink and silver glitter. I love glitter so much but it is such a pain in the butt to get off... I guess it is a love hate kind of thing.

Swatches from latest haul

I was asked to do swatches of these two polishes and here they are!!

The first one is NYX Pink Ave. This is a flakie polish but the name makes so sense because it is not really pink. If you get it in the right light it will reflect pink and green but it still looks yellow in the bottle (pic in the haul post) I tried this polish over several different colors. In my opinion it looks best over black because it is the most noticeable. The grey is Sally Hansen Xtreme wear Wet Cement, the yellow is Sally Hansen Xtreme wear Mellow Yellow, the black is Wet n Wild Black Creme, and the white is Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Whirlwind white. They all were topped with 2 coats of Pink Ave. Which is your favorite?
Oh and please excuse the chunk missing from my index finger :( ouch

The second color is NYX Girls Gemma. This is such a pretty green! This color does confuse me a bit though. The polish goes on like a jelly and looks like a jelly until you put the second coat on. I feel like it doesn't look as much like a jelly now. I wouldn't however call this a creme... Maybe it is a creamy jelly lol. What is your opinion on this one, jelly or not?

Thanks for looking and happy Saturday :)

April Showers bring fun manis :)

Ok so this is the mani that I have been wanting to do! I really wanted an April shower mani and was going to put an umbrella on the accent nail but for some reason the umbrella plate did not want to work at all :( I am however very happy with the way that the little froggy looks with this mani. Last night my boyfriend helped me build a light box out of a cardboard box so I have also been playing with the light box as you will see in the following pictures. I just got my order from cherry culture yesterday so there will be upcoming posts on my newest additions.

For this mani I used Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Whirlwind White. I then stamped the tips of my nails with the circle Bundle Monster plate using NYX Ink Heart. I also stamped the dark rain drops with NYX Ink Heart. I then stamped the frog with Jordana Rich Green. Using Jesse's Girl Glee I added some lighter colored rain drops. 2 coats of SV to finish it off.

P.S. I LOVE SPRING!!!
