Daniel Radcliffe Going Gay....For Film

Daniel Radcliffe, better known by millions as Harry Potter, has said that he's desperate explore his sexuality on film, and that means playing gay.

The 18-year-old actor is planning to audition for the role of a boy at boarding school in the 30s who falls in love with his best friend and later becomes an undercover agent in a remake of the 1984 movie "Another Country".

The film adaptation of Julian Mitchell's play, which originally starred Rupert Everett in both the stage and screen version, is loosely based on the life of Guy Burgess, who became a double agent working for the Soviet Union, and was famously part of the Cambridge Five spy ring.

Speaking at a press conference for his latest movie "December Boys", he said, "I'd never play a gay character just for the sake of playing a gay character. If the script was good, and it was a good gay character then, I'm 18, and so the parts I'm going to be getting will be open for around that age range."

"And around that age range is when people are exploring sexuality, so those are the parts I think I will be involved in."

Radcliffe will also be reprising his nude stage role in 'Equus' when the play moves to Broadway this month.

Jesse Metcalfe Naked in 'Equus'?

Rumors are flitting around that 'Desperate Housewives' gardener Jesse Metcalfe could soon be replacing Daniel Radcliffe in London theater production 'Equus'. Please recall that Radcliffe gets NAKED in the play, and who wouldn't want to see Metcalfe do the same?

Currently however, Jesse is in rehab battling alcohol troubles.

'Harry Potter's' Emma Watson Bailing on Final Films

Emma Watson, who plays Harry Potter's friend Hermione Granger in the films, is reportedly refusing to sign on for the last two installments of the box office juggernaut. Watson, 16, is tired of being known as "that girl from the Harry Potter movies', and is ready to lose the teenybopper wizard image.

Apparently Rupert [Grint], who has starred as the best friend of Daniel Radcliffe's eponymous Harry in the first five movies, and Daniel himself have moved apart from Emma after she rejected the chance to earn £2 million ($3,884,600)to film Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

"Daniel and I are distant from her now. We don't text or talk to her when we are not filming," he told the Sunday tabloid.

But other reports state that although Emma has not signed up for the final two films, producers Warner Bros still fully expect her to.

No word on what Watson would rather be doing, or if she's signed on to appear in Playboy or 'Girls Gone Wild' yet.

Daniel Radcliffe's Got More Than a Six Pack Going for Him

Get ready, ladies, 'Harry Potter' star Daniel Radcliffe turns 18 in July, and not only does he have that lovely 6-pack going for him, but he gets his hands on his $39 million bucks. That's right, Radcliffe will become the richest teenager in Britain, and legal too.

The cash is his amassed earnings from the 'Harry Potter' movies and merchandise. But Daniel says he hopes his new wealthy status won't attract gold-diggers.

He said: "I've not got a girlfriend at the moment. Somebody said, 'Do you worry girls are just giving you attention because of who you are?' I was like, 'I'm 17, it's wonderful.' "

However any would-be-female-suitors can get a look at the goods soon. Daniel's West End debut is expected to cause controversy, as he appears nude on stage and his character has a sexual fascination with horses.

Daniel Radcliffe, best known as Harry Potter, is taking is clothes off for the British West End theater production of 'Equus'. Pictured above are promotional stills that feature Radcliffe with his co-star Joanna Christie, and one with a horse.

Producer David Pugh says of Daniel:

"There was no hesitancy about taking off his clothes.

He has a confidence in his own appearance. With the performances that I've witnessed, when that boy takes his shirt off, Harry Potter has flown out of Hogwarts for good."

Peter Shaffer was inspired to write this play when he heard of a crime involving a teenage boy's apparently senseless injury to horses. He then set out to construct a fictional account of what might have caused the incident, without knowing any of the details of the crime. The play is posited as a kind of postmodern detective story.

The boy, who worked part-time in the stables where the attack occurred, would take a certain horse out for occasional night rides. Those jaunts functioned as the set piece for an elaborate ritual of exaltation constructed by his anguished psyche.


Is it wrong to be oddly turned on by the photos of this kid we all watched grow from pre-pubescence? I feel like I need a shower.
