Milani Holo With Some Stampage

I have completed an entire set of polish for the very first time!!! I now have all of the Milani 3D polishes! In honor of completing the set I decided to do a mani using one of the polishes. Are you shocked to find out that it is green? No me neither... I have a thing for green polishes! These are not the greatest holo polishes but they are still holo and I still love them! I also got to try out my first konad stamping polish that I won in a giveaway!

You probably can't tell but the polish I am holding is not the same polish my nails are painted with... Didn't even realize it was gold and not green until after the pictures. Then I realized that I left the green one at my parents house... oh well close enough.

I probably should have taken pictures of Hi-Tech before putting the pink over top... I think I soaked up a little too much sun this week lol.

For this mani I used  2 coats of Milani Hi-Tech and then using Konad Special Princess polish in pink (no name on the bottle) I stamped on the design from plate BM-205. I covered the whole thing with SV :)
I am not crazy about how this turned out... I don't think there was enough contrast between colors for this design to work well. Maybe it also had to do with both polishes being shimmery. I also am not crazy about the Konad stamping polish because it did not cover as well as I would have liked and it left a lot of polish on the stamper every time. Maybe I will try the Konad polish over some other colors and post a review.

White, Blue, and Yellowe Flower mani

Ok before you even look at the pictures please read this: These pictures were taken 3 days after doing the mani :( Somehow I completely forgot to take pictures of these until 3 days later and after scrubbing my entire bathroom. Ok now that you know that you can look at the pictures with terrible tip wear. Even though they look like crap I still wanted to share these with you.

When I fist did this mani I only stamped on the white flowers... I found them to be so incredibly boring, probably because I did this mani right after my filled in butterfly mani. I had to add something more to the mani so I used one of my small brushes to add in some yellow to the flowers.

For this mani I used two coats of NXY Ink Heart which is a very pretty blue jelly. Then using Sally Hansen Insta Dri in Whirlwind White, I stamped on the flowers from BM-221. After being incredibly bored by the mani I added in the yellow using acrylic paint. The acrylic paint is very easy to work with when you use it over SV. If you mess up at all you can just wipe it off without ruining the mani. I topped the whole thing with SV.

This is for you MOM!!

This post and this mani is dedicated to my amazing mom!! These nails are perfect for my mom because they are kind of crazy and my mom is also kind of crazy in a good way. My mom is the mom who listens to rock and roll and drives around in her cute little convertible. My mom is the mom that is obsessed with shoes and necklaces. My mom is my shopping partner. My mom is also obsessed with nail polish and enables my nail polish addiction! My mom is the mom who will support me in what ever I do! My mom is the coolest person I know. My mom is my best friend! I love my mom!! Happy Mothers Day Mom!!!

I bought my mom the new set of Bundle Monster plates for Mothers day and this skull stamp was the one she was most excited to use so these are for her!

For this mani I used WnW Dreamy Poppy. I then used my new Bundle Monster plate BM-225 to stamp the skull and bones. I then used Sally Hansen Insta Dri in Lickety-Split Lime to stamp the green stars. Then I stamped the white stars on my ring finger using Sally Hansen Insta Dri in Whirlwind White. Then a generous coat of SV to finish it off.

Mom I know you look at my blog everyday so I hope you like this!

Happy Mothers Day!

I hope all of you moms out there are having a wonderful day!

My favorite green and new Bundle Monster

I was wearing a new green shirt that I got a target to go out to dinner on Saturday. The shirt had a big black sunflower on it so I decided to to match my nails a bit to my shirt. I went right for my Jordana Gemma because it is such a pretty green jelly!! I also used one of my new Bundle Monster plates with a pretty full nail flower design. For the design I used my WnW Black Creme which is my go to black for stamping! The plate is BM-224.

I was very happy with how this design turned out! Also I love this color so much!!

New Bundle Monster Plates!

I finally got my new Bundle Monster Plates!! Sorry there has not been a post all weekend, my boyfriends brother and his girlfriend moved in with us this weekend so we have been very busy! I got the new plates on Friday and had the chance to use them on Saturday. Overall these plates are awesome! These plates have larger full nail images and they have a paper backing so they are not as sharp.

Here is a picture comparing the image sizes. The  right one is the new plate and the left is the old plate:

Here is a picture comparing the backs of the same two plates. The new ones have a plastic backing exactly like the name brand Konad plates.

The new and old plates are exactly the same thickness and of the same quality except for the backing.

I was too excited to open the new plates that I forgot to take a picture if the blue plastic covering that came on the plates but I am sure you can picture in your head the plates with a blue sheet of plastic on them lol

If you are looking for new plates I would recommend these plates! Most of the designs are full nail designs or tip designs. As always all of the designs are unique to Bundle Monster and I love them! The plates are also very affordable. You get 25 plates for about $22 which is less than $1 a plate compared to Konad at $5 a plate. I would say that these plates are equal quality to Konad only way cheaper!! You can buy the plates here: Bundle Monster

I honestly can't think of one negative thing o say about these plates!!
Check back tomorrow for mani using new plates!!

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Mani

So I was going to wear my Milani Holo mani for Easter but decided to do some cleaning on Saturday and completely ruined my mani :( Who knew windex and nail polish did not get along well. I decided to take off my holo which was sad but I decided to use my new Insta-Dri colors to do a mani. I have been searching and searching for a yellow that stamps over darker colors and I finally found it!!For this mani I used 2 coats of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Presto Pink. Then I used my yellow Insta-Dri (called Lightning) to stamp the flower whole nail design from MASH plate M61. I really like these Insta- Dri polishes! They are very thick and creamy and stamp well over pretty much any color. The only problem is that they dry really really fast when stamping. If you are new to stamping stay away from these polishes cause they will dry on you.

Also wanted to let everyone know that the new Bundle Monster plates just came out. You can buy them here:  Bundle Monster
I ordered mine and they will be here Friday. I should have pictures of them up on Saturday and I will do a review of them. If you do like stamping then buy these because they are so much cheaper than the name brand konad plates and they do the same thing. Some of the designs are also way better than the konad designs. Here are pictures of all of the designs: (click to enlarge)

Rock Star Mani

I found out that Bundle Monster was doing a contest on their fb page for a free set of their new image plates! I was going to do a mani with rain drops and umbrellas but that will have to wait because I really want these new plates. I really do have a problem lol. Here is a link to the contest page: http://www.facebook.com/bundlemonster?sk=app_95936962634

The top 25 people with the most "likes" will get a free set of the new plates that have not been released yet. The plates will be released and go on sale on amazon the 25th of this month.
Here is the mani:

I used Fresh Paint Blackberry smoothie as the base and then use Bundle monster plates BM03 and BM20 to stamp the images. The silver stamp was done with pure ice silver mercedes which is my favorite silver to stamp with! Also just thought that you should know that the whole time I was doing this mani I was rocking out to old school Avril Lavigne and this mani screams rock star to me :)

Ivy League by Sally Hansen Xtreme wear

I think this is one of my favorite greens that I have. It is just so shimmery and pretty and it reminds me of cat eyes! I used a bundle monster plate to stamp the vines using Art Deco in black. I really need to get some black konad polish because the stamp came out kind of thin this time. For the tip I used scotch tape and craft scissors. I am including a picture of the craft scissors that I used. This was the first time I used the craft scissors to cut the tape for a mani and I really like the way it turned out and it was much easier than cutting the tape with regular scissors. I will do some more experimenting with the other craft scissors that I have and post them.

What do you think?

First Post!

This is my very first post on my blog! I am new to blogging so bear with me. I have a lot of catching up to do since all of my manis have been posted on Facebook until now. I will try to post a mani everyday for a while so I can catch up. After that I will post a new mani every 2-3 days since that is how often I do my nails.

This was my St. Patty's Day mani!

For this mani I used Sinful Colors San Francisco as the base, I then used Bundle Monster plate BM03 to stamp the shamrocks on my fingers and Fauxnad plate B45 to stamp the thumb. I stamped the shamrocks in Pure Ice Fast Lane and white Art Deco. I then used my dotting tool to dot in gold glitter Art Deco. I like using the Art Deco colors to stamp because they are thick but the only problem is that they show through. The white on my thumb looks more like a light green. I guess I should just suck it up and buy the konad polish in white. Anyone have any better suggestions for a white polish for stamping?
